Cadel has won one of the historic spring classic races, La Fleche-Walloone, the first Australian to do so.
"I've finished second, fifth, ninth - I've finished in every position but first in Flèche Wallonne, so to win is fantastic," said Evans. "It's the first time I've come here while preparing for the Giro d'Italia and so my periodization and training is in a bit of a different order. (quote from cyclingnews.com)
The race finishes atop a steep short hill, known as 'Le Mur de Huy' or 'the wall of Huy', that it navigates 3 times throughout it's 195.5k tour through the Ardennes.
Topbike TV has visited this race before, our clip about the race environs can be found here. You can also find the final kilometre of yesterday's race, with more info here, courtesy of steephill.tv.
Liege-Bastogne-Liege, the final of the spring classics, is held this coming Sunday.
